Sections reference

Every section in Benchline, with its settings. Sections marked as page sections belong to one template type; the rest can be added to any template in the editor. Block-based sections list their blocks.

Storewide

• Announcement bar. A rotating message bar above the header. Settings: auto-rotate. Blocks: one message per block.
• Header. Logo and logo width, menu (nested menus supported), account menu, a finder link with its own label (point it at your finder page), sticky header switch, and country and language selector switches. The shopper account element renders in the header on desktop and mobile. Blocks: menu promotions, shown inside the menu.
• Footer. Country and language selector switches. Blocks: link columns, text columns, and a social and payment column. Social icons follow the links entered in Theme settings and appear only where a link exists.

Finder and results

• Project finder. The guided question form. Settings: heading, heading level, intro, results collection, submit button label, show project name field, compact layout. Blocks: finder steps (heading, filter parameter name, input type, options). Full guide: Project finder.
• Finder context bar. A slim bar that keeps the active project visible above results and product pages. Settings: show result count, change project link, sticky.
• Collection products (collection pages). Settings: guide text (shown below the results), products per page, show fit state on product cards, specification column order, filter order priority. Full guide: Collections, search, and product cards.
• Search results (search page). Settings: results per page, show fit state on product cards, specification column order, filter order priority.
• Collection index tiles. A grid of entry tiles (the shipped home page uses Repair, Build, Install). Settings: heading. Blocks: one tile per block.
• Collection list (list-collections page). Settings: intro, collection list, show description, show governing specification.
• Featured collection. The specification table for one collection, placeable on any page. Settings: heading, collection, products to show, show view all link, specification column order.

Product

• Main product (product pages). Settings: show breadcrumb, finder results link, show specification summary in the fit check panel, media position. Blocks: title; vendor and SKU (vendor, SKU, and part number switches); price (unit price and taxes note switches); fit check (heading); variant picker; specification table (group order); buy buttons (quantity and dynamic checkout switches); pickup availability; Shop Pay Installments; selling plan selector; description; complementary products (heading, limit); share (copy link switch); availability note (your text); app blocks; custom Liquid. • Featured product. The same buying stack for one product, placeable on any page. Setting: the product. Blocks: the same set as Main product, including app blocks. This is a buying section, not a teaser: the full datasheet and fit behavior come with it.
• Related products. Recommendation-based products with specification lines. Settings: heading, limit.
• Specification comparison. A side-by-side table of specification values. Settings: heading, intro, products to compare. On a product page with no products selected, the current product is compared with products from its first collection.
• Guide parts list. A pick list for guide and project pages. Settings: heading, intro, project label (parts added from the list carry this project into the cart). Blocks: one product row per product.

Content

• Rich text. Heading, text, and button blocks, plus app blocks. Setting: narrow content.
• Image banner. A wide image with heading, text, and button blocks. Settings: image, height.
• Image with spec callouts. An image annotated with specification callouts: the way to explain a part diagram. Settings: heading, image, caption. Blocks: one callout per point.
• Slideshow. Slides with autoplay and change speed settings. Slides have a no-JavaScript fallback, so content is never trapped behind the script.
• Multicolumn. Columns of text for policies, services, and buying guidance. Settings: heading, columns on desktop. Blocks: one column per block.
• Logo list. A row of brand or certification logos. Settings: heading. Blocks: one logo per block.
• Video. A hosted or uploaded video with heading and description. Settings: heading, video link, video, description, loop.
• Blog posts. Latest articles from a blog. Settings: heading, blog, show view all link.
• Newsletter signup. Email capture with heading and text. Used on pages and, in its password page form, before launch.
• Custom Liquid. Your own Liquid, for embeds and one-off markup.

Pages

• Cart (cart page). Setting: show project name field (the project name is saved as a cart attribute and travels to checkout). Grouping itself is a theme setting; see Cart, projects, and machines.
• Page (pages). Settings: show contact form (renders the standard Shopify contact form on the page), narrow content.
• Blog (blog page). Setting: articles per page.
• Article (article pages). Settings: comments per page, show share links.
• 404 page. A themed not-found page that points the shopper back to the finder. Setting: finder link.
• Password page. Pre-launch page with logo, and a newsletter block (show newsletter, heading, text). Social icons render here from the same Theme settings links as the footer.
