Theme settings reference

Global settings, grouped the way the theme editor shows them. Theme styles set many of these in one move; see Theme styles and presets.

Colors

Background and Foreground: the page colors.
Surface background and Surface foreground: cards, tables, and panels that sit on the page background.
Accent background and Accent foreground: links, the primary button, and other interactive elements.
Fit state colors: three pairs (Match, Check specification, No match), each a background and a foreground. Use these for fit states only, so the colors keep their meaning.

The shipped pairs in every style are contrast-checked: body text sits above 15 to 1 against its background, and the fit state pairs sit between 7.7 and 8.4 to 1. If you recolor, hold body text to at least 4.5 to 1 and large text and interface elements to at least 3 to 1, or the fit verdicts and the body copy stop being readable for some shoppers.

Typography

Heading font and Body font. Fonts are chosen with the font picker and served by Shopify; the theme loads no fonts from anywhere else. The styles pair Oswald with Work Sans (Benchline), Roboto Slab with Work Sans (Driveline), Barlow Condensed with Work Sans (Flowline), and Barlow with Work Sans (Voltline).

Layout

Page width: the maximum content width.
Page margin: the minimum side margin on narrow screens.

Buttons and inputs

Button corner radius and Input corner radius.

Cart

Cart type: the cart is a page (see Cart, projects, and machines).
Show cart note.
Group cart lines by: Project, or Machine then project.

Project finder

Show machine field in the project finder: adds the Machine field to every finder on the store. The Driveline style turns this on.
Show the dimension step as visual size discs: renders dimension steps as discs scaled to their values. The Flowline style turns this on.

Product cards

Show vendor and Show SKU, on cards across the store.
Specification lines to show: how many specification lines a card carries (default 3).

Search

Enable predictive search.
Show vendor and Show price in predictive search results.

Social media

One link field per network: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, X, YouTube, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn. Icons appear only where a link is entered, in the footer and on the password page.
